CSX approves LOLC’s $20M sustainability bond listing
Synopsis: The company is the first institution in 2026 to secure in-principle approval for a public bond listing eligibility review.
The Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) officially granted approval on Wednesday for the listing of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc.’s guaranteed sustainability bond, valued at roughly $20 million.
Trading is scheduled to begin on September 10.
LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., a microfinance deposit-taking institution, has operated in Cambodia since 2015 and currently maintains a network of 83 branches across the country.
The company announced the completion of its KHR 80 billion bond issuance on Sept. 3. It is the first corporate bond in Cambodia to be guaranteed by the Credit Guarantee Corporation of Cambodia.
LOLC (Cambodia) Plc. secured public offering approval from the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia and completed all additional listing requirements set by the CSX to clear the path for its securities to be officially traded.
The CSX granted in-principle approval to LOLC for bond listing on May 21, said a press release.
The company is the first institution in 2026 to receive in-principle approval on a public bond listing eligibility review, which industry experts say reflects the momentum of the Kingdom’s domestic bond market.
LOLC Cambodia’s five-year bond (2026-2031) features a 5.75 percent annual coupon paid semi-annually, Dealroom.co reported. Trading under the symbol LOLC31A, the bond’s redemptions are set to begin on August 20, 2029.
According to its website, LOLC (Cambodia) Plc. started as a Catholic Relief Services credit program in 1994 before incorporating as Thaneakea Phum (Cambodia) Ltd. in 2002.
