Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, held a pull-aside meeting with Herminio Bagro III, Chief Country Representative of the U.S.–ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC) in the Philippines, along with representatives from Expedia Group, Marriott International, Airbnb, Visa, and Royal Caribbean International, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026.
The third bilateral meeting took place in Cebu, Philippines, on January 29, during the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026.
The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between Cambodia and the US–ASEAN Business Council in the tourism sector. Both sides considered establishing a working group comprising representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, the Cambodia Tourism Board, and the US–ASEAN Business Council to explore concrete areas of collaboration.
Hak highlighted the positive outcomes of a previous meeting between Ted Osius, President of the US–ASEAN Business Council, and Prime Minister Hun Manet, followed by a separate meeting with the Minister, held in December 2025 in Phnom Penh.
